The Beginning of Harvey Pratt’s Story | Cheyenne & Arapaho Artist

For Harvey Pratt, Cheyenne and Arapaho artist and veteran, it began with drawing as a boy — sketching what he saw, guided by culture, memory, and land.
Those beginnings carried him into service as a Marine in Vietnam, and later into decades as a forensic artist, giving faces back to the lost.
Today, Harvey’s story continues as the designer of the National Native American Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. — a place where remembrance, healing, and ceremony live.
